MAINTENANCE (Cont'd)
C.Before starting up or shutting down the stand, be
sure that its bypass valve is open, preventing flow
to the aircraft.
D.If the test stand has the capability of using its own
hydraulic fluid reservoir in addition to that of the
aircraft, use this capability.
E.Regulate the stand to obtain a very low rate of flow
and operate the hydraulic system for at least one
complete cycle at minimum operating pressure
before increasing it to full operating pressure.
F.Regularly check the hydraulic fluid temperature in
the stand: it must not exceed + 160
°
F (+ 71
°
C).
G.If the flow rate from the stand can be regulated,
always reduce it to a minimum before shutting
down.
H.Replace the caps on the quick-disconnect
couplings of the aircraft and the test stand
immediately after disconnection of the stand hoses
from the aircraft.
I.Keep the stand hydraulic hoses capped when not
in use.
