Some breakdown parts of Suppliers furnished equipments have been included in this Aircraft IPC,
even if they should be preferably included into the equipments separate publications, because they
are enclosed in the contractual recommended Spare Parts List, needed to support the operational
Customer requirement and the relevant applicable maintenance actions.
1-2       Structure of this Manual
This Illustrated Parts Catalogue consists in the following parts:
-
Section I
Introduction
-
Section II
Illustrated Parts Data
-
Section III
Cross Reference Index
1-3       Section II - Maintenance Parts List
The Illustrated Parts Catalogue data are compiled in order to present an engineering breakdown of
the Product in disassembly sequence, identifying all assemblies and their individual components,
together with other detail parts which cannot be assigned to assemblies, in accordance with their
Engineering Drawings and Bills of Material (BOM).
The hierarchical breakdown is reflected in the structure of the IPC data, which shows the
engineering relationship of assemblies and their parts, listing the item in order of breakdown. The
sequence of these items is given by the use of the Catalogue Sequence Number (CSN).
The level to which this breakdown is prepared is in function of the Maintenance, Repair and
Overhaul activies to be carried out on the equipment described in the present publication and by
taking into consideration the Logistic Support Analysis results and other engineering indications.
